there's this article saying "vegetarian" food isn't all brown rice and beans, and then they tell you how yummy vegan food can be - like this mac and fake "cheese" soup.

why do meat eaters assume that vegans want to reproduce their diet or the diet or those who consume dairy? as in, why is tofurkey and faux cheese touted as 'food' in the first place? it's processed crap. most vegans eat real food, not processed crap.

My pet peeve. No wonder a lot of non-vegetarians don't want to try a vegan diet..if it was all fake meat and ground-up-rubber-protein, I wouldn't either!

Sitting on the other side and to offer a counter argument to the statment that "meat eaters assume". I am a flexeterian/Semi Veggie.

What I see as veganism is an over indulgence in soy products, not all but quite a few. I really don't think meat eaters care one way or the other what vegans eat. It sure seems to me that practising veganism just became easy with this soy indulgence.
